In 1996, Roberto Coin started signing his jewelry by setting a small ruby hidden on the inside of each piece, allowing direct skin contact with the gem. Rubies have always been considered eternal, like true love, and have always been surrounded by a halo of legend, granting them magic power. In accordance with an ancient belief, wearing a ruby close to the skin promoted a long life, blessed with health and happiness.
